Pet of the Week this week is Zoey. She is a 2 year old tri- colored rat terrier
weighing in at 12 pounds. Zoey’s elderly owners came down with health
problems so they gave her and her littermate to their daughter. The daughter
already had three dogs and 4 children and really could not handle more
animals. Zoey is very sensitive and shy and is settling into the shelter
environment which is a drastic change from her previous home. The sooner we
get Zoey into a home of her own the better off she will be. This pretty little girl is
house trained, gets along with other dogs, big and small. She gets along with
children (which is not always the case with small dogs). She walks well on a
leash and she rides well in the car. Sounds perfect, doesn’t she? She is. To
